Escape Velocity成立於2010年4月1日，由攝影師薜奕曦(Calvin Sit)及多媒體創作人陳健朗(Kenneth Chan Laity)所組成。
成立的目的無非是為了滿足一己的私慾，為求可以在缺氧的工作與絕望的生活以外，籍著影像與文字，以逃離地球的速度，在本以為牢不可破的真理當中，尋找光明中的閻暗。
Escape Velocity是我們賴以為生的速度，因為我們深信： 「唯有用這樣的速度活著，我們才能逃出枷鎖與制度。」

Escape Velocity expresses an inner desire and passion for us to continue living in a never-stopping work environment, and on this desperate planet.
Our imaginative photography and writing creates a place to set you free from the endless darkness and eternal half-truths our existence.
Escape Velocity sets the pace we need for living, because we believe: "Only by living at this pace can we escape the boundaries of reality."

About Kenneth Chan Laity
永遠的不滿現狀、且不安於份的多媒體創作人。從小時候的塗鴉、發白日夢到平面設計師；由道具製作到編劇、導演；只要是可運用的媒體，都可以成為其創作的工具。2010年4月，跟攝影師薜奕曦成立「Escape Velocity創作室」，期望能成窒息的環境中，尋找可供維生的氧份。
